About the author

Jordan studies new media and sociality as a graduate student researcher at the University of California, Irvine, in anthropology. Her MA thesis addressed youth subculture and social networks in Chicago, based on ethnographic fieldwork, and she is currently preparing to undertake longer term fieldwork in Berlin for her PhD.

She also blogs for Smart Mobs with Howard Rheingold, and maintains Fresh Eggs, a blog dedicated to sustainable food.
